How to Measure and Choose Your Fit

The chest measurements in the chart above refer to your body, not the garment laid flat, so the most reliable way to pick a size is to measure yourself. Use a soft tape measure and wrap it around the fullest part of your chest, just under the arms and across the shoulder blades. Keep the tape level and snug without pulling tight, and breathe normally while you read the number. If you land between two sizes, think about how you like your clothes to sit before choosing.

Comparing with a shirt you already own

If you don't have a tape measure handy, grab a t-shirt or hoodie that already fits the way you like. Lay it flat, smooth out any wrinkles and measure straight across from armpit to armpit. Double that figure to get an approximate chest measurement, then compare it with the chart. This works especially well if you prefer a relaxed or fitted look, because you are matching a fit you already know.

Tips for hoodies and layering

  • Room for layers: If you plan to wear your hoodie over a flannel or a thick shirt on a cool Fraser Valley evening, consider going up one size.
  • Shrinkage: Cotton and cotton-blend garments can tighten slightly after the first few washes. Washing cold and hanging to dry helps keep the original fit.
  • Sleeve and body length: Taller wearers often find that sizing up adds useful length in the sleeves and torso, even when the chest fits.

Hats

Our hats are one size fits most, usually thanks to an adjustable strap or snap at the back. If you have a particularly small or large head, it is worth trying one on in person when you visit the taproom.
