Planning Your Visit for an Event Night

Event nights tend to be the busiest times in any taproom, so a little planning goes a long way. If you are coming with a larger group for trivia or a weekend set from a local musician, arriving a bit earlier than the start time gives you the best chance of finding a table together and settling in before the room fills up. For groups, it is worth getting in touch ahead of time through our contact page to ask about seating, as availability varies from night to night.

Making the most of trivia

Trivia works best with a team of four to six people who bring a mix of interests: someone who follows sports, someone who knows music and film, and someone with a head for geography or history. Pick a team name before you arrive, keep phones in pockets, and treat it as a friendly night out rather than a high-stakes contest. Newcomers are always welcome, and plenty of regular teams started as a couple of strangers sharing a table.

Getting more from a brewery tour

A tour is a chance to see how malt, hops, water and yeast become the beers on our board. Come with questions: what makes a lager different from an ale, why some beers are dry-hopped, or how seasonal releases are developed. Afterwards, browse the current beer list with fresh eyes, and you will likely notice flavours you would have missed before.

Food, transport and enjoying responsibly

Many evenings pair well with something to eat, so check which food trucks are parked outside before you head over. Aldergrove sits in a largely rural part of the Fraser Valley, and transit options can be limited in the evening, so arrange a designated driver, book a taxi or ride-share in advance, or plan to share a ride home. Pacing yourself with smaller pours and a glass of water between beers makes a long event night far more enjoyable.

Schedules for music, trivia and special seasonal gatherings can change, so check back here regularly or follow our updates before making plans.
